Job Description

A reputable and long-standing law firm in Saint Louis is seeking an Insurance Defense Attorney with 3 -5 years of litigation experience (in worker's compensation, personal injury, or medical malpractice) to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney looking to build and expand a strong career in civil litigation within a supportive and well-respected practice. Position Overview The ideal candidate will have experience handling civil litigation matters and a strong interest in insurance defense work. This attorney will work closely with partners and clients on a variety of cases, including premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, construction claims, and general liability matters. Key Responsibilities Manage litigation matters from initial investigation through resolution. Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and briefs. Conduct and defend depositions. Appear in court for hearings, conferences, and trials. Communicate with clients on case strategy, risk assessment, and developments. Collaborate with partners, paralegals, and experts to drive cases forward. Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school. 3-5 years of civil litigation experience (insurance defense experience preferred but not required). Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills. Excellent communication and time-management abilities. Active Missouri Bar membership (preferance to obtain Illinois Licensure).
