Primary responsibility is for payment posting duties related to both insurance and self-pay.

DUTIES:

Post insurance payments, both EFT's and Checks, as they are received for Epic, PCC, and Netsmart systems. Ensure proper reimbursement from each payer based off our current contracts. Recognize payer errors and discuss with billers for resolution when applicable. Post patient payments to appropriate self-pay balances. Recognize overpayments and initiate patient refunds when appropriate. Review and verify RHC deposits for accuracy and add to the daily deposit tracking spreadsheet. Scan and save copies each day. Work self-pay queues for all VGH related accounts to determine if a payment plan is necessary for the balance remaining on the account. Work with the patient to establish a written payment plan agreement that adheres to the payment plan policy. Track and maintain patient payment plans. Contact patients if additional services need added to the payment plan, obtain updated payment information, track fulfillment of payment plans and follow-up with patients who have delinquent balances. Process automatic monthly credit card payments daily. Notify patients when information on file is near expiration and update agreements accordingly. Apply discounts to accounts as appropriate for employees and self-pay patients. Ensure discount forms are completed correctly and monitor accuracy. Review self-pay credits and initiate refund requests when appropriate. Assist with completion of reimbursement projects monthly. Answer the phones, assist with any needs and return phone calls in a timely manner.

Pay:

$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
