Job Description

Overview As a Drafter at Barclay Butera Interiors, you will play a critical role in the technical execution of our design projects. You will work closely with our design team to create accurate REVIT, develop detailed floor plans, elevations, and sections, and compile and maintain builder specification books that outline the design elements, finishes, and materials for each project. This position requires a keen eye for detail, proficiency in REVIT, and an understanding of design concepts, material specifications, and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
REVIT Drafting:
Create and update drawings for interior design projects, including floor plans, elevations, furniture layouts, and construction details. Must have the ability to model and draw 3D in
Revit Builder Book Documentation:
Document the drawings within builder books, ensuring that all materials, finishes, furnishings, fixtures, and products are accurately documented for the build team and trades to reference during construction. Collaboration with
Design Team:
Work closely with interior designers to understand design intent and translate conceptual designs into technical drawings and specifications.
Material Selection Documentation:
Assist in documenting specifications for materials, furniture, finishes, and other design elements to ensure all items are properly called out and align with the design vision.
Time Management:
Complete assigned work within deadlines to ensure deliverables on time.
Desired Qualifications:
REVIT Expertise:
Proficiency in REVIT is a must, with a strong ability to produce accurate and detailed drawings. Degree in
Interior Design Preferred:
Familiarity with interior design principles, construction documents, and design processes.
Builder Book Compilation:
Experience in compiling, organizing, and maintaining specification books for interior design projects.
Detail-Oriented:
Exceptional attention to detail in both design and documentation, ensuring accuracy across all construction documentation
Strong Communication Skills:
Ability to collaborate with design teams, contractors, and clients in a professional and clear manner.
Software Proficiency:
Familiarity with design software such as, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), Google Suite and other relevant tools.
Organizational Skills:
Strong ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Pay:
$30.00 - $35.00 per hour
