Interior Designer

Job Description This role is ideal for an experienced residential designer who enjoys both creative collaboration and technical execution. The Lead Designer will be responsible for translating design concepts into detailed drawings, documentation, and project coordination. The position works closely with the Principal Designer to ensure projects are executed beautifully and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

Design Development Produce detailed design drawings including floor plans, elevations, and cabinetry layouts Translate design concepts into accurate construction documentation Develop furniture layouts and design presentations Technical Documentation Prepare drawings using Autocad or SketchUp Create electrical plans, finish schedules, and specifications Coordinate design details with builders and architects Sourcing + Specification Assist with sourcing furniture, lighting, textiles, and finishes Prepare specification sheets and design presentations Maintain organized documentation for each project Project Coordination Communicate with vendors, contractors, and workrooms Track design revisions and updates Assist during project installations and styling

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture 2+ years experience in residential interior design Strong proficiency in AutoCAD or SketchUp, Lighting Design principles and color theory Experience producing construction documentation Knowledge of residential construction and finish materials Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Preferred:

Experience working with builders and architects Familiarity with design presentation software such as Houzz Pro Experience specifying furniture and finishes with trade vendors A wicked sense of humor

Pay:

$60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
