Intermodal Chassis & Sea Container Depot Gate Checker

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Full-time reliable and detail-oriented Intermodal Chassis & Sea Container Gate Checker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting intermodal chassis and sea containers upon arrival and drop-off before gating them into the facility. This position requires strong communication skills, computer knowledge, and experience working within depot systems in a fast-paced intermodal environment. Responsibilities Inspect intermodal chassis and sea containers for visible damage upon drop-off Document damages, defects, and conditions accurately before gating units into the system Operate and update depot systems using Windows-based computers Verify container and chassis information for accuracy Maintain organized inspection records and reports Communicate effectively with drivers, dispatchers, and terminal personnel Ensure all gate procedures and safety protocols are followed Maintain a clean and organized yard. Follow company procedures. Ensure a safe work environment. Communicate with other yard personnel and management to ensure efficient operations. Requirements & Qualifications Must speak fluent English Intermediate experience using Windows-based computers Full working knowledge of Depot Systems Ability to read and write clearly and accurately Experience inspecting intermodal chassis and sea containers preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Reliable transportation and punctual attendance required Must be authorized to work in the United States Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Good communication skills Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Preferred Experience Previous experience in intermodal, container depot, terminal, or logistics operations Familiarity with chassis/container inspection standards and damage reporting procedures Schedule Full-Time Monday to Friday (Day Shift) Overtime offered when needed All job seekers experienced in trucks, trailers, chassis, automotive repair, are encouraged to apply!
