We are seeking a summer 2026 intern. As a Receiving Chemist Internship at our EL Dorado, AR incinerator, you will shadow a Receiving Chemist to learn about receiving, sampling, and analyzing waste from 55-gallon drum shipments within our industrial warehouse facility. Additionally, you will be reviewing and updating documents such as SOPs. You will obtain a broader understanding of the chemical/environmental industry in general as well and learn about the various processes and what it takes to keep our environment clean!

Responsibilities Ensure Health & Safety is the number one goal by following all policies, procedures, and always acting in a safe manner Learn the use of proper personal protective equipment to sample waste in shipping containers throughout the warehouse and properly track and label the materials as needed Shadow other chemists to learn about receiving, sampling and waste analysis. Updating SOP documentation Other duties as assigned Qualifications What does it take to work for Clean Harbors? Current or recent graduate with a Bachelor's in Chemistry or Environmental sciences preferred Advanced chemistry knowledge is a plus Proficiency with MS Office - Excel, Work and PowerPoint Computer proficiency within a Windows based system Clean Harbors is an equal opportunity employer.
