- to support the Heart Lab / Cath Lab team at Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
This role supports both scheduled daytime procedures and a robust on‑call rotation covering emergent cases. The IR Technologist will assist physicians during complex interventional procedures, maintain sterile technique, operate imaging equipment, and ensure patient safety throughout all procedures. This position is best suited for clinicians comfortable with high‑acuity cases and frequent call responsibility.
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of recent Interventional Radiology Technologist experience Proven experience in
- neuro and stroke interventional procedures
- Current BLS certification Active Florida Radiology Technologist license Strong knowledge of IR protocols, sterile technique, and radiation safety Excellent critical‑thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
Responsibilities:
Assist physicians during neuro, stroke, and interventional radiology procedures Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies Maintain sterile fields and adhere to safety protocols Operate fluoroscopy and interventional imaging equipment Monitor patients and respond to changes during procedures Participate in weekday and weekend on‑call rotations as scheduled Accurately document procedures and patient care Ensure compliance with hospital policies and radiation safety standards
