Interventional Radiology Technologist Florida Endovascular and Interventional - 4.2 Miami Lakes, FL Job Details Part-time | Full-time 14 hours ago Qualifications Radiology Computer literacy BLS Certification ACLS Certification ARRT (R) Certification Basic life support Patient care Aseptic technique Radiology Certification Full Job Description Primary Purpose Supports performance of both basic and intermediate interventional radiologic procedures. Major Responsibilities Competently operates angiographic equipment used to perform basic and intermediate diagnostic and interventional procedures. Acts as a scrub assistant on basic interventional and surgical procedures assisting with positioning, skin preparation and any required draping. Assists with cleaning of equipment and interventional suite per protocol for the facility following procedures. Identifies and processes images, assuring that images are of diagnostic quality. Post-processes images as directed and accurately identifies and labels images, identifying patient name, medical record number, and location or position of scan on all images. Maintains records in accordance with various regulatory agencies, and enters patient and study information into the PACS. Documents patient information as appropriate in the electronic medical record. Performs various patient positioning and transporting duties, which require lifting and pushing/pulling, while utilizing proper technique. Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Maintains adequate inventory of medical supplies based on anticipated procedure volumes and identifies medical supplies cost savings opportunities. Ensures office lab equipment is properly maintained and working effectively including scheduling routine preventative maintenance inspections.

Licenses & Certifications Radiographer license issued by the state of Florida, and Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), and Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (ACLS) issued by the American Heart Association (AHA). Education & Experience Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of an accredited or approved program in Intervantional Radiologic Technology. Must have at least 2 year of experience in a surgical setting, interventional radiology or cath lab, preferably in vascular. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Competent in basic radiology positioning and techniques. Knowledge of basic radiation safety and aseptic techniques. Knowledge of anatomy that includes vascular. Excellent communication, interpersonal and patient service skills to work effectively with physicians, patients and other staff members. Ability to work independently. Intermediate computer skills.
