Primary Purpose:

Provide oversight and structure to the campus Response to Intervention Program (RtI) and Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) through support to students to ensure that students who are at risk of school failure receive appropriate and timely interventions to address their individual learning needs.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

Bachelor's degree Valid Texas teaching certificate

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Knowledge of RtI/ MTSS process and intervention programs Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Experience Three years teaching experience, preferred Experience with implementing RtI and MTSS, preferred

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

Instruction Use a variety of instructional techniques and media to meet the needs and improve the abilities of students who are at risk of school failure in English/Language Arts/Reading (ELAR). Identify appropriate interventions for students based on their individual learning needs from the district-approved intervention list. Facilitate afterschool scheduling of tutorials and interventions in English/Language Arts/Reading (ELAR). Program Management Serve as the Campus RtI/MTSS case manager. Complete documentation forms for students involved in RtI/MTSS support. Oversee progress monitoring and any necessary changes to interventions as a result of progress monitoring. Gather materials and resources to support RtI/MTSS interventions with students. Ensure completion of universal screeners within the timeframe set by the district. Provide bi-weekly updates to campus and district administration on the RtI/MTSS program implementation. Attend RtI/MTSS training and serve as a trainer for other campus staff. Serve as a member of the Student Assistance Team for at-risk students. Coordinate the RtI/MTSS program with the campus special education team. Communication Establish and maintain open communication by conducting conferences with parents, students, principals, and teachers.
