VACANCY NOTICE P ROFESSIONAL PERSONNEL JOB TITLE
: Elementary Math/Reading Interventionist
LOCATION
: West Taylor Elementary School
EMPLOYMENT TERM
200 Days, Full-time
EFFECTIVE DATE
Upon board approval 2026-2027 school year
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISORS
: Principal and County Curriculum Director
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Holds valid West Virginia Teacher Certification/Licensure in Elementary Education for grades k-4 or k-6. Satisfactory evaluations and/or recommendations Exhibits knowledge of the duties and responsibilities as demonstrated in the personal interview Abilit to communicate effectively with students, school personnel and parents Educational philosophy comparable with the Taylor County Board of Education philosophy, mission statement and core beliefs Ability to motivate students and get them excited about learning
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide high quality instruction and support to students who are at risk in Reading/Language Arts and Math Maintain data-based documentation of tiered intervention training and progress monitoring Participate in progress monitoring and analysis of data to identify students in need of tiered intervention and benchmarking Maintain accurate and complete records and documentation, completed and submitted in a timely manner Work cooperatively and collaboratively with staff and parents to share knowledge, convey program goals, develop skills, and implement the intervention process Foster a classroom climate conducive to learning. Other duties as assigned
SALARY:
Per Taylor county BOE Policy Additional information concerning the above listed position can be obtained from the Superintendent's Office.
