55091BR Inventory Analyst - Systems Integration Lab General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Poway California Job Summary General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems. We have an exciting opportunity for an Inventory Analyst to join the GA-ASI Systems Integration Lab (SIL) team in Poway, CA, in a position supporting SIL environments for multiple product lines. Under general supervision with minimal review, this position requires hands-on involvement in asset tracking as items come into the labs and move from lab to lab, while ensuring close coordination with cross-functional teams, especially other SIL team members supporting avionics systems, payloads, sensors, ground control stations, test equipment and tools, and ground support equipment. The ideal candidate will champion a culture of teamwork, continuous improvement, process flow, and interdepartmental synchronization to ensure high performance and reliability in a regulated aerospace environment. The candidate will collaborate with other team members on company-owned and customer-owned assets and contribute to the development and support of systems quality testing, operating methods, and processes.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reviews and handles transfer of stock and shortages and assists with expedites. Directly involved in asset tracking within SILs, movement of assets and material, and participates in asset creation for company-owned items. Interacts with all levels of employees and external customers, including purchasing, production planning, warehouse, contracts, engineering, government property, and manufacturing to ensure project and production requirements are met. This position involves the exercise of independent judgment and discretion on matters of significance and significant value. Reviews, evaluates, and resolves inventory transfers to ensure project and engineering requirements are met. Reviews cycle count results and resolves inventory discrepancies. Analyzes and resolves routine and non-routine obsolete and excess inventory issues. Reviews and analyzes ABC codes and order policies of parts. Reviews, analyzes, and resolves conflicts in supply and demand and investigates as required. Maintains, implements, and assists in the development of inventory control processes to ensure project and production requirements are met on time and within budget. Reviews and evaluates inventory control policy and procedures and makes recommendations for changes. Analyzes cycle count results and investigates discrepancies outside specific tolerances. Reviews and analyzes inventory issues, receipt transactions, and stock requirements. Analyzes and processes inventory write-offs for inventory obsolescence. Maintains strict confidentiality of sensitive information. Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the company. Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices. Job Qualifications Typically requires a bachelor's degree in business administration or related field along with three or more years of related experience in inventory planning and control. Equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education. Must possess a general understanding of inventory planning and control standards, practices, concepts, and principles, along with a general knowledge of computer-based manufacturing systems and MRP, and essential computer user skills. Proficiency with SAP or comparable material tracking tools is preferred. Must have good organizational skills to maintain flow of work within the team. Must have the ability to initiate, plan, and lead small projects. Must have strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to interface with all levels of internal employees and external customers and to accurately document and report information. Must be customer focused and possess the ability to identify issues, analyze and interpret data, and develop solutions to a variety of routine and non-routine problems. The ability to work both independently and in a team environment is essential, as is the ability to work extended hours as required. Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance required.
