Position Summary The Inventory and Demand Planning Manager will oversee the forecasting, ordering, and management of stock levels across the network to ensure optimal inventory availability while minimizing costs. Analyze sales trends, coordinate with suppliers, and collaborate with various departments to balance supply and demand. Collaborate and coordinate necessary data, input and analytics to present in a monthly S&OP session.
Responsibilities will include: Manage S&OP (Distribution) for the Nutritional Business. (monthly / weekly cyclical work) Estimating Demand for Recurring distribution products and identifying issues contributing to performance and execution issues. Conducting Monthly Demand and Supply Reviews for the distribution organization focusing on inventory and supplier performance as well as customer centered KPI's. Segment customer and inventory on a periodic basis to gain insight into opportunities. Collaborating with sales on inventory and customer service level requirements and action plans to reach them. Facilitating Global BU centered S&OP leadership meeting on a quarterly basis Facilitating Monthly BU S&OP leadership meeting. Manage Inventory for Nutritional BU (Distribution) (monthly, weekly, daily or periodic work) Determining correct inventory levels to optimize service and carrying cost. Having the knowledge and ability to launch purchase orders to satisfy demand. Conducting Monthly Nutritional (total BU) Distressed Inventory Meeting - work with Manager of Distribution on returns and claims. Collaborating with Manager of Logistics to assure physical counts on schedule decided by finance for NUT stocking facilities. Collaborating with Manager of Logistics to assure the completion of monthly inventory reconciliations by Billing and Inventory Analyst. Manage Flow of Invoices for Nutritional (Distribution) (daily, weekly, end of month work) Managing / Assuring Billing and Inventory Analyst is processing orders for the distribution business in a timely manner. Assuring coverage for billing at month-end- act as first level support for invoicing issues. In collaboration with Logistics, assuring proper management of invoicing by the Billing and Inventory Analyst. In collaboration with Logistics, assure proper completion of physical counts and monthly reconciliations by Billing and Inventory Analyst. Managerial And HR Responsibilities Develop both managerial and technical skills—personally and within the team. Set clear, measurable goals for team members, and ensure regular follow-up using appropriate performance indicators. Supervise individual and collective performance by implementing effective evaluation and monitoring processes for directly or indirectly reporting staff. Actively participate in the recruitment and onboarding of new employees in collaboration with the HR department. Ensure a structured onboarding process and tailored support for new hires, including initial training and follow-up to facilitate job adaptation Foster employee engagement. Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth communication and effective coordination across business functions. Maintain regular, clear, and transparent communication with the team, peers, and senior management. The salary range for the position of Inventory & Demand Planning Manager is $105,000 - $115,000 per year.
