30-40 hours a week About Pierson Nurseries Pierson Nurseries is a wholesale plant nursery focused on growing and supplying high-quality plant material. Accurate, up-to-date inventory tracking is a critical part of keeping our operation running smoothly, and we're looking to add another person to our inventory team. Position Overview We're hiring an Inventory Associate to assist with inventory data entry and general inventory upkeep. This role works closely with the Inventory Manager and focuses primarily on computer-based work, with occasional help needed outdoors in the nursery. Because multiple teams rely on real-time inventory information, this role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to complete time-sensitive data entry tasks accurately. Schedule Monday-Friday, especially during training Some flexibility once established Some data entry may be done from home, but most hours are expected to be on-site Key Responsibilities Entering and updating inventory data using our software system (Groware — training provided) Uploading and adjusting counted inventory Updating item details such as SKUs and sizes Maintaining accurate and organized records in a time-sensitive workflow Assisting with occasional outdoor inventory-related tasks Work Environment Primarily computer and desk-based work Occasional outdoor work assisting with physical inventory counts May involve walking nursery areas and recording counts while inventory is being verified Qualifications Comfortable working on a computer Basic Excel or spreadsheet experience Strong attention to detail Ability to communicate clearly in writing Organized and dependable Able to manage and prioritize time-sensitive tasks Preferred (but not required) Interest in plants or horticulture Previous inventory or data entry experience Who This Role Is Great For Someone who enjoys organized, detail-focused work Someone who likes working behind the scenes to keep operations running smoothly Someone comfortable working independently and as part of a team Someone who can stay focused while working on repetitive but important tasks Why This Role Matters This role helps ensure our sales team and order pulling crews have accurate, up-to-date inventory information to do their jobs efficiently.
