Inventory Clerk I 📍 Jessup, MD 🕒 Full‑Time | Monday-Friday | 6:30 AM-3:00 PM 💵 $19/hour 🔁 Temp‑to‑Hire | Weekly Pay 🦺 Steel or Composite Toe Footwear Required We are currently hiring for a detail‑driven inventory clerk who can keep counts accurate across Dry, Cooler, and Freezer environments while spotting issues before they become problems. This role is ideal for someone who brings strong Excel skills, clear communication, and the reliability needed to keep warehouse inventory precise and moving smoothly.

Work Environment:

Dry 10% | Cooler 10% | Freezer 80% ⭐ What You'll Do As an Inventory Clerk, you will: Maintain accurate inventory levels by performing regular cycle counts, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring product integrity across Dry, Cooler, and Freezer environments Investigate inventory issues such as weight variances, damaged goods, and receiving or put‑away errors to prevent shrinkage and improve warehouse accuracy Monitor FIFO rotation, verify reserve pallet counts, and ensure proper execution of put‑away, transfers, and cooler‑to‑freezer product movements Conduct cycle counts at least four times per year across all pick and reserve slots Review inventory and management reports and research causes of inventory shrinkage Coordinate will‑call orders as scheduled and serve as Will‑Call Clerk on designated Saturdays Collaborate with Merchandising on quality checks for date‑sensitive, slow‑moving, or obsolete items, including recoup functions Ensure that put‑away and transfer processes are followed correctly by both day and night personnel Initiate and document product transfers from the cooler to the freezer when required ⭐ What We're Looking for in an Inventory Clerk To succeed as an Inventory Clerk, you should have: Proven inventory control experience across Dry, Cooler, and Freezer environments Strong Microsoft Excel and data‑entry skills with high attention to detail Clear communication skills, solid problem‑solving ability, and reliable follow‑through Ability to investigate discrepancies, maintain accurate counts, and support FIFO and quality checks High school diploma or equivalent required Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently Comfort working in freezer environments for extended periods ⭐ Why This Inventory Clerk Role Stands Out You work at the center of the operation, ensuring inventory is right the first time and every time You become the go‑to expert for cycle counts, FIFO rotation, discrepancy resolution, and product integrity As an Inventory Clerk, you'll have the opportunity to transition from temp to hire You use your Excel skills and attention to detail to spot issues early and prevent shrinkage Consistent weekday schedule with competitive hourly pay PeopleShare is the leading Staffing Agency in the region and has temporary‑to‑hire and permanent jobs across 8 states.
