PURPOSE:
The Inventory Control Manager is accountable for driving operational discipline, inventory accuracy, and material flow performance across all production areas. This role owns process adherence, departmental metrics, and continuous improvement execution, ensuring alignment with production schedules, quality standards, and cost targets.JOB REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in business or related field Experience Prior leadership role preferred in a Manufacturing or Warehouse environment.Required:
At least 3 years in a position that included material and inventory control, shipping and receiving of materials and supplies in an industrial setting Skills, Knowledge, Abilities Must be able to professionally coach and direct activities of a diverse team while being fair and consistent Must have good written and verbal communication skills while being able to motivate and manage reporting personnel Computer literacy at a level of competence to be able to maintain employee records, update necessary production reports, and navigate through companies ERP system for necessary informationDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Process Ownership & Adherence Establish, standardize, and enforce all inventory control, material handling, and transaction processes. Ensure ERP system integrity by driving compliance between physical inventory and system records. Audit and sustain 5S and material flow standards. Lead corrective actions and eliminate root causes of process deviations. Departmental Metrics & Performance Management Own and deliver key KPIs including inventory accuracy, OTTS, OTTD, material availability, labor efficiency, scrap rates, and transaction accuracy. Maintain visual dashboards and lead daily performance reviews with immediate countermeasures. Drive accountability across the team. Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement Lead structured problem solving using 5-Why and PDCA. Resolve inventory discrepancies, shortages, and transaction errors. Drive systemic improvements and collaborate cross-functionally to improve material flow. Resource Management & Workforce Optimization Manage staffing levels aligned to production demand. Optimize labor utilization and control overtime. Assign resources based on priorities and skill alignment. Maintain flexibility through workforce planning. Cross-Training & Talent Development Develop and maintain a cross-training program covering receiving, shipping, material handling, ERP transactions, and cycle counting. Maintain a skills matrix and eliminate single points of failure. Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback. Execution & Operational Coordination Ensure seamless material flow to support production and customer delivery. Coordinate with Production, Scheduling, Procurement, Sales, and Quality. Identify risks and escalate issues proactively. Compliance, Safety & Quality Ensure adherence to safety, regulatory, and company standards. Maintain a zero-incident culture and ensure proper material traceability and handling. Leadership Responsibilities Lead and develop team members. Conduct performance reviews, enforce accountability, and maintain a strong leadership presence on the floor overseeing day-to-day operations.
