Send to Friend Bluff Country Feed & Seed is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory & Purchasing Coordinator to help improve inventory accuracy, purchasing efficiency, warehouse organization, and margin control across all company locations. This position plays a critical role in keeping operations running smoothly by managing inventory levels, coordinating purchasing activities, monitoring inventory accuracy within our ERP software, supporting transaction accuracy, and helping reduce shrinkage and unnecessary costs. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, self-motivated, comfortable working with numbers and systems, and able to communicate effectively with vendors, warehouse personnel, sales staff, and management. Agricultural experience is beneficial, but strong operational, purchasing, and inventory management experience is required. Inventory Management Monitor inventory accuracy across all company locations Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and shrinkage Maintain accurate inventory records within our ERP Perform regular cycle counts and inventory audits Coordinate physical inventory processes Monitor aging inventory and assist with inventory reduction strategies Help improve warehouse organization and inventory flow Track inventory trends and identify operational inefficiencies Purchasing & Procurement Serve as the company's primary purchaser for inventory items Place purchase orders with vendors Monitor inventory levels and reorder points Help reduce emergency purchasing and stockouts Coordinate incoming inventory and vendor shipments Maintain vendor pricing and purchasing records Work with management to improve purchasing efficiency and margins Order Processing & Transaction Support Assist with customer invoicing and transaction processing Verify pricing, quantities, and inventory movement accuracy Help ensure inventory, purchasing, and sales transactions are accurately reflected within our ERP Assist in resolving invoice discrepancies and operational billing issues Coordinate with sales staff and operations personnel to maintain accurate records Reporting & Operational Support Prepare inventory and purchasing reports for ownership Assist in identifying opportunities to improve margins and operational efficiency Work closely with sales, warehouse, feed mill, and operations personnel Support process improvement initiatives across all locations Qualifications Previous inventory management and purchasing experience required Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to identify pricing discrepancies and operational inefficiencies Comfortable working with ERP and inventory management systems MerchantAg experience is a plus Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and computer systems Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Agricultural, feed, grain, or retail operations experience preferred Self-motivated with strong communication skills Position Details Full-time position Primarily office/admin based with some warehouse and inventory oversight responsibilities Approximately 75% office / 25% warehouse & operational support Reports directly to ownership Compensation & Benefits Performance bonus opportunities available Access to employer Health Reimbursement Arrangement Paid time off Opportunities for growth within a growing agricultural business About Bluff Country Feed & Seed Bluff Country Feed & Seed is a growing agricultural business serving farmers, livestock producers, and rural communities throughout the region.
