In this role, you will be responsible for managing inventory levels, optimizing warehouse distribution processes, and ensuring the accuracy of stock data across multiple platforms. Your expertise will support efficient procurement, demand planning, and inventory control, ultimately contributing to seamless order fulfillment and supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong data analysis skills, proficiency with warehouse management systems, and a comprehensive understanding of procurement and materials handling. Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate inventory records through data mining and root cause analysis, collaborating with suppliers and internal teams on sourcing and category management, and implementing process improvements to enhance overall efficiency. Your efforts will directly impact our ability to meet customer demands while controlling costs and reducing waste. Duties Under the direction of the Maintenance team, the Inventory Specialist is responsible for managing all aspects of consumables and spare parts inventory. This role ensures that materials are properly stocked, organized, tracked, and available to support maintenance operations and inspection.
Inventory Management:
Handle stocking, re‑stocking, and movement of consumables and spare parts for the Maintenance team.
Organization of Spare Parts:
Set up and maintain spare parts storage areas in a systematic and efficient manner.
Record Keeping:
Compile and maintain accurate records of inventory, including quantity, type, and value of items on hand.
Industrial Spare Parts Knowledge:
Demonstrate familiarity with spare parts commonly used in industrial manufacturing environments.
Reporting:
Oversee records of all inventoried items and compile reports as required by the maintenance department.
Vendor Coordination:
Work with external vendor‑managed inventory programs to ensure timely supply and replenishment.
Cycle Counting:
Participate in routine inventory cycle counts to maintain accuracy and compliance.
CMMS Utilization:
Use CMMS (SAP) systems for inventory tracking, management, and invoicing. Safety and 5
S Practices:
Maintain a strong safety mindset and apply organizational practices such as 5S to keep work areas efficient and audit‑ready.
Audit Readiness:
Collaborate closely with the Maintenance group to ensure readiness for inspections or audits.
MUST HAVE
Should have minimum high school diploma or GED Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing, warehousing, and/or maintenance environment Experience with inventory management/parts procurement for a maintenance organization Experienced using a forklift and pallet jack Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Be able to stand, crouch, kneel, and bend over for extended periods of time
Shift Timing:
7AM-3:30PM Weekly schedule: M-F CH1
Pay:
$26.00 - $28.00 per hour
Experience:
manufacturing, warehousing, and/or maintenance environment: 5 years (Required)
License/Certification:
high school diploma or GED (Required)
