Job Description

Inventory Specialist, 1st
Shift Hiring Immediately Job Type:
Full Time Hourly Joy-Mark, Inc. is a manufacturing facility located in Cudahy, WI. We use automated vacuum forming and mixing processes to produce a wide variety of custom made foundry feeding aids and insulating metal handling products. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7a-3p. Starting pay is $26/hour.
Responsibilities:
Inventory (main) Check materials in and out across three categories of inventory (raw materials, WIP, finished goods). Coordinate with production, quality, purchasing, and shipping teams to ensure accurate transfers, transactions, and counts. Perform cycle counts and monthly physical inventories; investigate variances and resolve discrepancies. Maintain accurate inventory records using Excel, Google Sheets, and ERP system. Monitor inventory levels and flag shortages, slow-moving items, overstock, or replenishment needs to management. Maintain item locations, pallet identification, and inventory labeling to ensure traceability and quick retrieval. Combine partial cartons/pallets into full, shippable or sealable quantities when practical. Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse, including pallet rows, storage areas, and aisles. Operate grinding equipment to safely process and recycle non-conforming finished goods back into WIP. Operate forklift to move, organize, and stage pallets/materials. Develop and improve inventory processes, controls, and warehouse organization systems. Shipping & receiving (secondary) Pull, stage, and verify finished goods for shipment. Assist with loading and unloading truck shipments (TL and LTL). Ensure picking tickets accurately reconcile to staged pallets prior to shipment; verify item, quantity, and pallet labels match the order. Complete final shipping audits before release, confirming count accuracy, documentation, and staging location. Receive inbound shipments; inspect quantities/condition and route materials to proper storage locations. Work overtime as needed, and additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Ability to lift 50lbs and work in warehouse conditions (hot and cold environments). Forklift certification (or ability to obtain immediately). High attention to detail and numerical accuracy. Organized, self-directed, and process oriented. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficient computer skills, including Excel (data entry, basic formulas, lookup/search functions), Microsoft Office, and Google Suite. Ability to work both independently and in a team.
