Responsible for the maintaining accurate warehouse inventory by slotting, sizing, counting and grouping merchandise.Core Competencies:

Accountable and Reports to: President, Specialty Foods Warehouse; Warehouse Manager, Specialty Foods Warehouse; Warehouse Supervisor(s), Specialty Foods Warehouse; Asst. Warehouse Supervisor(s), Specialty Foods Warehouse Positions that Report to you:None Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
Reports to work when scheduled and on time. Adheres to company policies and departmental guidelines. Maintains inventory records on Manhattan computer system regarding damage adjustments, store returns, physical counts, slot dimensions, and prints count sheets. Slots new merchandise, measures cases, maintains accurate pallet configuration, proper descriptions, UPC's, and sizes of merchandise. Examines products for purchasing specialist looking for expiration dates, and bad codes. Maintains holding area. Performs cycle and special counts and searches for missing merchandise. Determines new location and moves merchandise to make room for more products. Handles telephone requests on inventory from stores, purchasing specialists, and other personnel. Assists receivers with purchase order problems. Recommends slotting arrangements to increase productivity. Maintains liaison with IT regarding inventory. Attends departmental and company meetings.Secondary Responsibilities and Duties:
Prints pallet tags for receiving. Verifies purchase orders. Performs other job related duties and special projects as required.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Must have the ability to solve practical problems; variety of variables with limited standardization; interpret instructions. Must have the ability to do arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages. Must possess the ability to file, post, and mail materials; copy data from one record to another; interview to obtain basic information; and interpret verbal and written work instructions. Must be physically able to perform heavy work: exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pounds of force frequently, and 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Visual requirements include clarity of vision at distance of less than 20 inches and up to 20 feet with or without correction, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision. Must be able to perform the following physical activities: stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, feeling, crawling, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, climbing, balancing, bending, and repetitive motions.Education and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent.Physical Requirements:
Visual requirements include clarity of vision at a distance of less than 20 inches and up to 20 feet or more with or without correction, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision. Must be physically able to perform medium work: occasionally lifting or carrying objects of no more than 50 pounds. Must be able to perform the following physical activities: standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, grasping, pushing, pulling, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motions.Working Conditions:
The duties for this position are normally conducted in a warehouse environment. There is continuous exposure to dirt, noise, temperature extremes, vibrations, equipment movement hazards, dangerous chemicals/solvents, and electrical shock.Contacts:
