Job Description
Certification in inventory management:
Such as Certified Professional in Inventory Management (CPIM) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) preferred. Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop solutions to optimize inventory levels. Proficient in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting. Proficiency in inventory management software, such as ERP systems, and ability to learn new systems and technologies. MAS or SAP preferred Flexibility in adjusting and adapting to shifting priorities and demands. Independent working professional, highly organized, efficient, and self-motivated in a high paced, reactive, and ever-changing environment.Physical Demands Lifting and Carrying:
The Inventory Specialist may be required to lift and carry materials, tools, or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. This could include boxes of inventory, raw materials, or equipment used in inventory management.Standing and Walking:
The role typically involves prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the warehouse or stockroom. Specialists may spend a significant portion of their shift on their feet, moving between different workstations and areas of the facility.Bending and Reaching:
Frequent bending, squatting, and reaching above shoulder level are necessary for tasks such as retrieving items from shelves, organizing materials, and conducting inventory checks.Manual Dexterity:
The position requires good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for operating equipment, handling small components, and performing data entry tasks.Repetitive Tasks:
The Inventory Specialist may engage in repetitive tasks, such as scanning items, sorting materials, and managing inventory records, which can require sustained focus and physical endurance.Shift Length:
Specialists typically work full shifts, which may last 8 hours or more, requiring stamina to maintain productivity and attention to detail throughout the day.Warehouse/Stockroom Setting Temperature and Climate:
The work environment may be subject to varying temperatures, depending on the facility's heating and cooling systems. Specialists should be prepared for cooler conditions in refrigerated areas or warmer conditions in non-climate-controlled spaces.Noise Levels:
The work environment can be noisy due to machinery, equipment operation, and other warehouse activities. Hearing protection may be required in certain areas to ensure safety.Safety Considerations Hazard Awareness:
Inventory Specialists must be vigilant about potential hazards, including moving equipment, slippery surfaces, and the proper handling of materials. Adherence to safety protocols is crucial to prevent accidents and injuries. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Depending on the specific tasks and materials handled, the use of PPE such as gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots may be required to ensure safety. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
