Responsibilities Decontaminates furniture and equipment with appropriate solutions. Disposes of contaminated laundry, trash and suction canisters in appropriate containers. Makes operating room bed, replaces canisters, tubing and trash container liners. Opens sterile supplies for next case, as directed. Assists RN and RT with positioning of patient, preps and proper placement of equipment. Safely transports post anesthesia inpatients and outpatients. Decontaminates scopes and equipment according to IR. Procedure. Is competent to use HLD equipment after proper training. Responds to "turnover" promptly or communicates inability to respond, and assists in transferring patient to and from operating room bed. Completes errands out of department in a timely manner. Returns contaminated equipment to Central Sterile for processing and picks up when ready. Checks next case for needed supplies and obtains needed items for next cases. Stocks operating rooms and replaces needed stock. Requirements

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Education and Work Experience:

Must possess a high school diploma or GED Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations using addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

Certification Requirements:

BLS level CPR Certification required Min USD $17.83/Hr. Max USD $26.75/Hr.
