Irrigation Technician Requirements:

2-3+ years Experience maintaining and operating irrigation systems required Knowledge of Center pivot irrigation systems, Straight irrigation systems, Corner-arm swing tower systems, VFD's, Etc. required Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose irrigation system issues required Experience scheduling routine and preventative maintenance required Ability to perform winterization of irrigation systems required Electrical maintenance experience on farm equipment and buildings preferred Leadership experience directing irrigation specialists preferred Broad electrical maintenance background beyond irrigation systems preferred Agricultural or farm operations experience preferred

Irrigation Technician Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility is to maintain all irrigation systems and keep them operational Provide organization, direction, and supervision to a team of irrigation specialists This position will be responsible for trouble-shooting, diagnostics, scheduling routine and preventative maintenance, and winterization of systems, following up on progress and tracking completion of tasks, including hands-on maintenance and repairs The position will also be responsible for managing inventory for parts, tires, etc. Additional duties may include various non-irrigation electrical services such as lighting, wiring, and occasional electrical maintenance on farm equipment and buildings Please be on the lookout for a (774) area code calling you.
