JOB DESCRIPTION
Role:
To ensure the smooth and effective operations of the Credit Union's information and operating systems; hardware and software, training, and support.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
1. Manage the configuration and operation of credit union-based computer operating systems. Administrate infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, databases, malware protection software, and other processes. Create and verify backups of data. 2. Administer network security measures to prevent system interruptions or breaches. Document, track, and monitor technical issues to ensure timely resolution and compliance with regulatory standards. 3. Act as a liaison between OECU and OECU's IT Provider ensuring that Management is properly informed of any outstanding issues. This requires a working knowledge of managing an active directory and server infrastructures, monitoring and evaluating server loads, evaluating repair/upgrade costs and benefits for upgrading server operating systems, promoting and maintaining server patch management practices, and knowledge and support of Group policy. 4. PC support. Setup workstations, configuration of software and hardware, datacomm and cabling. Performs hardware and software maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting, and repair. Evaluates repair/upgrade cost benefit. Responds to inquiries and requests for assistance from end users via telephone, email, and ticketing systems. 5. Perform add/modify/delete of user profiles and accounts. 6. Manage interfaces with vendors to ensure functionality and appropriate security measures are followed. 7. Develop all internal technical procedures and user guides for PC and data processing systems. 8. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Performance Measurements:
1. To keep management and operational areas informed regarding data processing service interruptions, keeping interruptions to a minimum, and scheduling updates/upgrades down time during off-peak hours while ensuring all security protocols are followed. 2. Maintaining appropriate security of the entire system will allowing functionality for end users. 3. Participate in all regulatory audits of the credit union's information technology systems and resolve any issues found within a reasonable time period. 4. To maintain all hardware in working order, ensuring that all systems are functioning within established parameters. Essential hardware must be put back into service ASAP. Non-essential hardware should be put back into service within 72 hours. 5. To keep credit union licensed PC software current; testing and updating software as new versions are released. 6. To train or arrange for training credit union employees on information security/cybersecurity, software, and hardware on a frequent basis.
Knowledge and Skills :
Experience:
2+ years' Information Technology management experience with advanced knowledge of systems.
Education:
Associates or higher degree in related field.
Skills:
  • Experience with virtual applications, servers, storage, and networks.
  • Knowledge of system vulnerabilities and security issues.
  • Understanding of financial regulations, practices, and goals.
  • Ability to respond to help desk requests after hours on a limited basis as needed.
  • Diagnostic and maintenance abilities with PC hardware, software, and local area network.
