IT Manager/Director

Description We are looking for an experienced IT operations leader to oversee and strengthen enterprise technology services for a global manufacturing organization based in Mason, Ohio. This role combines strategic oversight with direct technical involvement, focusing on consistent support delivery, infrastructure improvement, and reliable service across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will bring strong vendor management capabilities, deep operational expertise, and the ability to guide modernization efforts while maintaining stable day-to-day IT performance.

Responsibilities:

Lead global IT operations initiatives that create consistent support standards, service expectations, and governance practices across regions. Direct efforts to streamline the technology environment by reducing duplicate tools, improving licensing efficiency, and addressing legacy platform issues. Oversee service management activities, including incident response, change coordination, problem resolution, and asset tracking, to improve operational discipline. Manage the transition of frontline and mid-tier support functions to a continuous managed service model with full-day, year-round coverage. Establish oversight for outsourced infrastructure and end-user support providers, ensuring service quality, accountability, and alignment with business needs. Act as the senior escalation contact for significant outages or service disruptions and drive structured root cause reviews with lasting corrective actions. Balance long-term infrastructure modernization priorities with the immediate support needs of employees and business operations. Provide hands-on regional technical support when needed, assisting users with hardware, software, and workplace technology issues. Partner with global IT leadership and cross-functional teams to improve operational performance, close service gaps, and control technology spending. Requirements 10+ years of progressive experience leading IT operations, infrastructure, or enterprise support functions. Proven success managing large-scale service delivery changes, including outsourced or managed service support models. Experience overseeing third-party vendors responsible for infrastructure services and end-user technology support. Strong technical background in Microsoft environments, including Microsoft 365, Azure Active Directory, and on-premises Active Directory. Hands-on knowledge of enterprise infrastructure such as networks, servers, storage, virtualization, backup technologies, and cloud platforms. Demonstrated ability to simplify technology ecosystems, reduce technical debt, and improve operational efficiency. Strong troubleshooting and end-user support skills covering corporate hardware, software, and configuration management. Ability to work effectively with global teams and communicate clearly across diverse business and technical stakeholders. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.
