Job Description

This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Office of Financial Management (OFM), Financial Management Systems Group (FMSG), Division of Technical Operations (DTO). As a IT Specialist (Security), GS-2210-14, you will lead all aspects of the Information Security Program for OFM major applications and general support systems including the Health Integrated General Ledger Accounting System accounting system.

This will prevent you from being considered further. Basic Requirement for the Information Technology Specialist series, GS-2210-14: 1.) Attention to Detail - is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. AND 2.) Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. AND 3.) Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. AND 4.) Problem Solving - identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. AND In order to qualify for the GS-14 , you must meet the following: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector, to include: 1) Experience supporting large-scale Oracle Financials environments, including Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS)/ Oracle Federal Financials, Oracle databases, financial interfaces, middleware integrations, and enterprise accounting systems, including technical operations, system interfaces, configuration management, and support for complex financial processing and reporting functions, AND 2) Experience working with Major Applications (MA) and General Support Systems (GSS) within IT environments, including systems analysis, systems security planning, vulnerability remediation coordination, continuous monitoring, and Authority to Operate (ATO) support aligned with NIST and/or FISMA requirements, AND 3) Experience coordinating technical activities across agencies/companies, contractors, and business stakeholders to support enterprise financial systems, resolve operational issues, implement system enhancements, and maintain compliance with enterprise IT and financial management standards, AND 4) Experience providing senior-level technical guidance for enterprise IT architecture, financial system operations, risk assessments, system documentation, audit support, and implementation of technical controls within high-volume financial management environments. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
