Learn more about South Shore Charter School by visiting our website: South Shore Charter School Position Overview We are seeking an IT Coordinator who will lead and oversee all aspects of technology across the school. This role is responsible for ensuring our hardware, software, and network systems are fully integrated and running reliably to support instruction and day-to-day operations. This person must be a proactive problem-solver who can manage IT systems, provide hands-on technical support, and implement solutions that align with the school's mission and instructional goals. The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, and able to balance immediate troubleshooting with long-term systems planning. Technology Systems & Infrastructure Manage and maintain all school technology systems (network, devices, printers, phones, etc.) Oversee Microsoft 365 / Active Directory / Entra ID user management Maintain internet connectivity, Wi-Fi performance, and device security Troubleshoot hardware and software issues across classrooms and offices Coordinate with external vendors for IT services and infrastructure support User Support & Help Desk Serve as the primary point of contact for all staff technology issues Provide timely troubleshooting and resolution of tech related operational tickets and requests Support onboarding/offboarding of staff (account setup, permissions, Papercut, PowerSchool and tech devices) Train staff on systems such as Teams, printers, SIS platforms, and classroom tech Instructional Technology Support Support teachers with classroom technology Assist with implementation of instructional platforms and educational learning applications Collaborate with instructional leadership Data Systems & Compliance Support systems such as PowerSchool SIS, assessment platforms, and rostering tools Ensure data accuracy, security, and compliance with school policies Manage backups, access controls, and cybersecurity best practices Operations & Planning Maintain inventory of all technology assets Plan and execute technology upgrades and replacements Support school-wide events, testing, and operational needs Assist with budgeting and vendor management Commitment to School Culture Work collaboratively with all staff and departments Contribute to a positive, solutions-oriented team environment Model professionalism and strong communication Support school-wide systems and operational excellence Family & Staff Support Provide clear communication and support to staff regarding technology systems Assist families with student technology access when needed Professional Growth Stay current with emerging technologies Participate in professional development Continuously improve systems and processes Additional Responsibilities Support daily school operations Assist with recruitment efforts Be available for occasional after-hours support Employment Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in IT or related field (required) Experience 2+ years IT support or systems administration School experience preferred Experience with Microsoft 365 / Active Directory Technical Skills Microsoft 365 / Entra ID / Active Directory Networking basics Device management Troubleshooting hardware/software Mindset & Competencies Strong problem-solving mindset Ability to manage multiple priorities Excellent communication skills High level of organization Collaborative approach Benefits Dental insurance Flexible spending account Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Parental leave Retirement plan Vision insuranceWork Location:
