Job Description
Position Summary The IT Support Intern provides technical assistance and operational support to the organization's Information Technology team. This internship offers hands-on experience in troubleshooting hardware and software issues, supporting end users, maintaining IT equipment, and learning core IT operations in a professional environment. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, customer-service oriented, and interested in developing technical and problem-solving skills in the field of information technology. Key Responsibilities Technical Support Assist employees with basic hardware, software, and connectivity issues. Respond to help desk requests and escalate issues when necessary.
Support setup and troubleshooting of:
Computers and laptops Printers and peripherals Mobile devices Email and collaboration tools Help maintain and organize IT equipment inventory. System & Equipment Setup Assist with configuring new computers and user workstations. Support software installations, updates, and system maintenance. Help prepare equipment for onboarding new employees. User Support & Training Provide basic guidance to employees on technology usage and best practices. Assist with password resets and account support. Help create or update simple user guides and documentation. IT Operations Support Participate in IT projects and technology rollouts. Assist with cable management, equipment organization, and workstation moves. Support routine system checks and maintenance tasks. Learning & Development Gain exposure to: Networking fundamentals Cybersecurity practices Cloud systems IT support processes Business technology operations Participate in team meetings and training opportunities. Qualifications Education Currently pursuing a degree or certification in: Information Technology Computer Science Cybersecurity Network Administration Related technical field Technical Skills Basic understanding of: Windows and/or Mac operating systems Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365 Computer hardware and software Internet and networking concepts Familiarity with troubleshooting technology issues preferred. Skills & Competencies Strong willingness to learn and take initiative. Good communication and customer service skills. Strong problem-solving abilities.
