• Overview
• We are seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide hands-on technical support and maintain end-user computing environments. This role involves supporting hardware, software, and network systems while ensuring a high level of service for internal users.
• Key Responsibilities
• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Windows operating systems, desktop hardware, and Microsoft Office applications
• Provide technical support to end users across desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and related equipment via tickets, phone, and in-person support
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues, escalating more complex problems to senior technical staff as needed
• Perform system administration tasks including user account management (adds, moves, changes), backups, restores, patching, and print services support
• Manage and maintain IT asset inventory, including hardware, peripherals, and software licenses; assist with procurement and deployment
• Support device lifecycle management, including imaging, provisioning, and technology refresh initiatives using automated tools
• Maintain accurate documentation of support activities, technical procedures, and knowledge base articles
• Assist with basic support of internal applications and collaboration tools
• Provide support for meetings and events, including AV setup and troubleshooting
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support when required
• Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
• 3+ years of experience in desktop support, IT support, or a similar role in a networked environment
• Strong experience supporting Windows OS and Microsoft Office Suite
• Proven ability to troubleshoot desktop, application, and basic network issues
• Core Skills & Competencies
• Knowledge of desktop hardware, operating systems, and peripheral devices
• Understanding of LAN/WAN networking concepts and data communications
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
• Strong documentation skills, including proper grammar, clarity, and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing workloads
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across teams
• Strong customer service orientation and professionalism
• Additional Requirements
• Ability to lift and move equipment (up to 25 pounds)
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays based on business needs
• Ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment and maintaining confidentiality

• This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Manhattan Beach, CA.
• Pay and Benefits
• The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
