Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and proactive IT Support Technician to join our technology team! In this role, you will be the frontline hero for resolving technical issues, maintaining IT infrastructure, and ensuring seamless computer operations across the organization. Duties Provide expert technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues via help desk platforms. Troubleshoot and resolve software problems across operating systems including Windows and Linux Manage computer hardware assets, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals Configure and maintain computer networks, including LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network), DNS (Domain Name System), and firewall settings like Meraki or other security appliances Support Active Directory, GPO (Group Policy Objects), SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager), and Windows Server environments for user account management and system deployment Assist with network administration tasks such as TCP/IP configuration, DNS management, and troubleshooting connectivity issues Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure components like switches, routers, and firewalls to ensure optimal performance Collaborate with team members on projects involving BMC Remedy or ServiceNow for incident tracking and resolution workflows Provide training or guidance to users on operating systems, Microsoft Office applications, mobile device management, and security protocols Experience Proven experience in providing IT support in a help desk or desktop support role with a focus on customer service excellence Strong knowledge of computer hardware components and troubleshooting techniques Hands-on experience with operating systems including Windows (Windows 10/11/Server), macOS, and Linux distributions Familiarity with network administration concepts such as LAN/WAN setup, TCP/IP protocols, DNS configuration, VPNs, firewalls and similar solutions Experience managing Active Directory accounts, Group Policy Objects (GPO), SCCM deployments, and Windows Server environments Ability to analyze technical issues quickly using strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Assist with installation of Ethernet cabling as well as various network or security systems as directed. Excellent communication skills to effectively assist users at all levels of technical proficiency Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), or Cisco CCNA are preferred but not mandatory Join us as an IT Support Technician where your enthusiasm for technology meets your desire to make a real difference!
