IT Systems Administrator NHC Components — Chillicothe, OH Full-time, On-site $26 - $36 / hour (depending on experience) — standard 45-hour week with built-in overtime, approximately $64,000 - $89,000 annualized Build our IT function from the ground up NHC Components is a growing truss and column manufacturer with a 45-person team across production, logistics, finance, sales, and design. We've reached the size where IT can no longer be a side responsibility — it needs an owner. That's where you come in. This is our first dedicated IT hire. You won't be slotting into an existing team or inheriting someone else's playbook — you'll be the person who builds the systems, sets the standards, and makes the technology actually work for the business. What you'll own These are the five core roles you'll be accountable for: Equipment Deployment & Scalability. Plan and execute new equipment setup, technology onboarding for new hires, and infrastructure expansion to support company growth without disruption. Shop IT Support. Ensure all shop-floor technology, equipment, and systems — TVs, iPads, scanners, production-connected devices — are fully operational and supported so the floor never waits on technology. MiTek System Performance. Own all MiTek technical issues, changes, and optimizations. Become our in-house expert so production runs smoothly and we're not calling MiTek's support line for every adjustment. (Configuration and administration — no behind-the-scenes coding required.) Technology Innovation & Improvement. Research, propose, and implement company-wide technology improvements that increase efficiency, reduce costs, or enhance capability. You're not just keeping the lights on — you're making things better. Technology Infrastructure. Own and maintain reliable phone systems, network infrastructure, and core technology platforms to ensure zero unplanned downtime across the office and shop. What we're looking for 3+ years of hands-on IT experience (sysadmin, IT generalist, or similar — bonus if it was at a manufacturer or other shop-and-office hybrid environment) Strong network fundamentals: switches, firewalls, VLANs, Wi-Fi, basic troubleshooting Comfort with Windows environments, Microsoft 365, and end-user device management Practical problem-solver — able to work independently, prioritize, and decide what's worth doing now vs. later Solid communication skills — most of our team isn't technical, and you'll need to translate Nice to have Any experience with MiTek SAPPHIRE, MBA, or other truss/construction software (not required — we'll teach you) Background supporting a manufacturing or construction-adjacent business Familiarity with VoIP phone systems Any cybersecurity, networking, or Microsoft certifications Why NHC Real ownership.
