Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT Technician to join our dynamic technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive technical support to ensure the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure. Your expertise will help maintain system reliability, troubleshoot software and hardware issues, and support end-users across various platforms. Responsibilities Deliver prompt and effective technical support to end-users via help desk tickets, phone, or in-person interactions, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently. Troubleshoot and resolve software problems across multiple operating systems. Manage computer hardware components such as desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals to optimize performance and reliability. Configure and maintain computer networks including LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network), DNS (Domain Name System), TCP/IP protocols, firewalls, and network security devices. Assist with software installation, updates, and troubleshooting for applications. Monitor network performance and security. Skills Strong technical support skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues swiftly. Extensive experience with computer management including desktop support, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and mobile device management. Proficiency in computer networking concepts such as LAN/WAN setup, TCP/IP protocols, DNS configuration, VPNs, firewalls (including Meraki), and network administration. Knowledge of IT support tools like SCCM for software deployment; Active Directory for user management; GPO for policy enforcement; Windows Server environments; BMC Remedy for ticketing; ServiceNow; Jira for issue tracking. Familiarity with security protocols including firewall configuration and network security best practices to safeguard organizational data. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users. Analysis skills to troubleshoot complex problems efficiently while maintaining high customer service standards.
