Janitor

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors. Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas. Conduct commercial cleaning duties in various settings such as offices, industrial sites, and residential properties. Carry out floor care activities including buffing and waxing as needed. Assist with custodial duties related to facilities maintenance to ensure all areas are well-kept. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel. Follow established procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while performing cleaning tasks. Experience Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with industrial cleaning practices is a plus. Knowledge of floor care techniques and equipment operation is beneficial. Experience as a porter or in facilities maintenance roles will be considered an asset. Ability to perform residential painting tasks can enhance your candidacy.
