Janitor (Part-time)

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our facilities maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various environments, ensuring that all areas are safe, hygienic, and welcoming. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors in commercial and residential settings. Conduct thorough custodial duties such as dusting, sanitizing surfaces, and emptying trash receptacles. Maintain floor care through buffing and polishing to ensure a clean and professional appearance. Assist with industrial cleaning tasks as needed, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs to management promptly. Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and stored properly after use. Provide porter services as required, including moving furniture or equipment for special events or maintenance activities. Qualifications Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred but not required. Knowledge of floor care techniques and equipment operation is a plus. Familiarity with industrial cleaning standards and practices is advantageous. Ability to maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in all assigned areas. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions effectively. Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
