Janitor/Cleaner

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. This role is vital in ensuring that all spaces are hygienic, well-maintained, and presentable for staff, visitors, and clients alike. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across various areas of the facility. Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, hallways, offices, and common areas to meet health and safety standards. Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, polishing, stripping, and waxing to preserve flooring quality and appearance. Handle industrial cleaning tasks when necessary, including use of specialized equipment for deep cleaning or large-scale sanitation projects. Assist with custodial duties related to facilities maintenance, including minor repairs or reporting larger issues for prompt resolution. Follow safety protocols during all cleaning activities and ensure proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment. Support additional tasks such as residential painting or porter duties as needed to ensure the overall upkeep of the premises. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is preferred. Familiarity with floor care techniques including buffing and polishing enhances effectiveness in this role. Experience with facilities maintenance or general cleaning practices is highly valued. Knowledge of commercial cleaning supplies and proper chemical handling ensures safety and efficiency. Previous porter or custodial experience demonstrates reliability in maintaining high standards of cleanliness across diverse environments. $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
