Janitorial Worker

Job Summary We are seeking a reliable Janitorial Cleaner/Custodian responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout office facilities, restrooms, common areas, and building entrances. The ideal candidate will ensure a clean, safe, and professional environment by performing daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning duties according to company standards and safety guidelines. Key Responsibilities Empty trash and recycling containers and replace liners. Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors including edges, corners, and under accessible furniture. Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces such as door handles, light switches, and push bars. Clean and sanitize restrooms including toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors, and fixtures. Replenish restroom and breakroom supplies (paper towels, soap, toilet paper). Clean and disinfect sinks, countertops, tables, and kitchen/breakroom appliances. Vacuum carpets and spot clean stains when necessary. Clean glass surfaces, doors, partitions, and interior windows. Maintain cleanliness of elevators, stairwells, hallways, and lobby areas. Sweep debris and maintain cleanliness around building entrances and sidewalks. Report maintenance issues or facility concerns to management. Additional Duties Perform periodic tasks such as high dusting, furniture cleaning, and detailed floor care. Maintain janitorial closets and ensure proper storage of chemicals and supplies. Follow safety procedures including proper use of PPE and approved cleaning chemicals. Ensure building security by locking doors and turning off lights when required. Requirements Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred. Ability to lift cleaning equipment and perform physical tasks such as bending, walking, and standing. Reliable attendance and strong attention to detail. Must follow safety standards and chemical handling guidelines. Ability to work independently and maintain cleaning schedules.
