Janitorial Worker

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, with a focus on both commercial and industrial cleaning standards. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors. Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and polishing to maintain high standards of cleanliness. Carry out custodial duties in various settings, including offices, restrooms, and common areas. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed to ensure operational efficiency. Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts effectively. Provide porter services by moving furniture or equipment as required. Conduct minor repairs and residential painting tasks when necessary. Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and maintained in accordance with safety regulations. Kitchen help as needed. Washing dishes nightly. Truck loading and unloading on first day of camp Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly. Qualifications Proven experience in custodial or janitorial roles is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques and equipment operation is an advantage. Familiarity with floor care processes, including buffing and polishing, is desirable. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleanliness standards. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork. Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may require lifting, bending, or standing for extended periods.
