Duties Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies. Conduct detailed custodial tasks including dusting, trash removal, window washing, and surface disinfecting to uphold cleanliness standards. Execute floor care procedures such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to maintain a professional appearance. Assist with industrial cleaning projects that may involve heavy-duty equipment or specialized cleaning techniques. Support facilities maintenance activities by reporting repairs needed for fixtures, lighting, or structural elements. Provide porter services by moving furniture, delivering supplies, or assisting with setup for events or meetings. Maintain cleanliness logs and communicate effectively with supervisors regarding completed tasks or areas needing attention. Qualifications Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with knowledge of commercial and residential cleaning techniques. Familiarity with floor care procedures including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing. Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, extractors, and industrial cleaning tools safely and efficiently. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to ensure thoroughness in all cleaning tasks. Prior experience in facilities maintenance or industrial cleaning is preferred but not required. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and climbing ladders when necessary.
