GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Janitorial/Maintenance personnel is responsible for the cleanliness of the Community Life Center. We are a very active environment where you get to work with a variety of people while making a difference in the local community.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Helps to maintain the cleanliness of the Community Life Center. This may be accomplished using volunteers as well as self-performed. Ensures that campus buildings and grounds are aesthetically pleasing and well maintained.

This means cleaning the building:

sweeping mopping, vacuuming, carpet cleaning, dusting, bathroom cleaning, and stocking, etc. As well as other general custodial duties. Maintain, organize and replace supplies and equipment as needed for both maintenance and janitorial services. Coordinate setup and teardown for church wide events and activities. Help coordinate volunteers for cleaning and setup for general community activities. Includes setup up of chairs and tables for worship and events. Helps to maintain the usage of the Community Life Center by keeping the facility in good repair. Maintains bulbs, batteries, etc for the various components of the CLC. Assist in performing basic maintenance and repairs on building and building systems such as preventive maintenance, basic repair to plumbing and electrical systems, touchup painting, and ensure that roofs, rain gutters, drains, doors and windows are well-maintained. This may be accomplished using volunteers and hire professionals as well as self performed. Helps coordinate yearly inspection of elevator, fire, sprinkler system, etc. Also helps with coordination of regular maintenance such as HVAC, elevator, baptistry, etc.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Good command of the English language High School diploma, ideally with additional education beyond High School Janitorial/Custodial experience recommended
