Job Description
Junior JAVA Developer We are hiring a Junior JAVA Developer to join our dynamic team in Akron! As a Junior JAVA Developer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining software applications using the JAVA programming language. Your main duties will include writing and testing code, debugging issues, and collaborating with other team members to develop high-quality software solutions. To be successful in this role, you should have a strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and be familiar with common software design patterns. You must also have experience working with JAVA development tools such as Eclipse or IntelliJ IDEA. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in a team environment are also essential.
Responsibilities:
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using the JAVA programming language
- Troubleshoot and debug issues in existing code
- Work closely with other developers, designers, and project managers to develop software solutions that meet client requirements
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and standards are met
- Stay up-to-date with new technologies and industry trends related to JAVA development
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 1-2 years of experience working as a software developer using JAVA
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts
- Knowledge of common software design patterns such as MVC or MVVM
- Experience working with version control systems such as Git or SVN
- Familiarity with agile software development methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience developing web applications using frameworks such as Spring or Hibernate
- Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
