Journeyman Electrician

Position Summary:

Under general supervision, this position is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, repairing and installing electrical systems, machinery and equipment. Maintain and provide for the safe condition and operation of all electrical machinery, equipment, and systems.

Responsibilities:

• Test electrical systems using tools that include voltmeters, oscilloscopes and ohmmeters to determine where issues may be occurring, the safety of the system and to ensure compatibility.
• Repair electrical issues by replacing or installing components, wiring or devices.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all company guidelines and OSHA safety requirements and also through reporting violations of policies, procedures and guidelines to immediate supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

Job Specifications Minimum Requirements:

High School diploma or its equivalent. 2 year Trade School degree or completed state recognized apprenticeship program. Must have a Minnesota State Journeyman Electricians license. At least 2 years of journeyman level electrical experience. Must be dependable, punctual, self-starter, and have the ability to work closely with others. Ensures all work performed meets required safety codes and is properly inspected. Must be able to use a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, electrical metering, power tools, and testing equipment. Must be able to use ladders, scaffolding, platforms and lifts to access and work on electrical systems. Perform inspections and maintenance on electrical systems to ensure safety and functionality. NEC understanding Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. The base salary (hourly) range for this position is $39.00
