Journeyman Electrician

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, utilizing your technical skills to deliver high-quality electrical solutions. Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems using hand tools, power tools, schematics, and blueprints. Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to accurately execute wiring layouts and system configurations. Work with low voltage and high voltage systems, ensuring proper installation and safety compliance according to NEC standards. Utilize testing equipment such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues effectively. Collaborate with construction teams on various projects. Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols related to electrical work on construction sites or industrial facilities. Assist in the training of apprentices or less experienced electricians when required Qualifications Valid Journeyman Electrician license Proven experience as a residential electrician or commercial electrician with a strong background in construction site environments. Proficiency in reading schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams related to electrical systems. Hands-on experience with low voltage wiring, high voltage systems, NEC regulations, and troubleshooting. Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, power drills, saws, and framing carpentry tools safely and efficiently. Strong understanding of electrical codes, safety standards, including NEC guidelines for residential, commercial and industrial settings. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive attitude toward safety and quality assurance.

Pay:

$36.00 - $42.00 per hour
