Solar Energy Construction Job Overview Blue Horizon Energy is seeking a skilled and licensed Journeyman Electrician to join our high-performing construction team. You'll play a crucial role in delivering cutting-edge solar energy, battery storage, and EV charging projects across Minnesota and beyond. As a Journeyman Electrician, you'll lead project-level electrical construction work alongside apprentices and other tradespeople, helping us build sustainable, high-performance systems for commercial, industrial, and utility clients. Travel is a part of this role—ideal candidates should be comfortable working on projects across state lines. Learn more at www.bluehorizonenergy.com Key Responsibilities Lead and perform electrical construction for solar, battery, and EV projects. Supervise apprentices and technicians on-site. Interpret electrical blueprints, single-line diagrams, and site plans. Ensure work complies with NEC code and safety standards. Utilize hand and power tools for various construction tasks. Coordinate with project teams to meet deadlines and quality goals. Travel to project sites as needed (company-provided per diem and travel support). Qualifications Valid Minnesota Journeyman Electrician License (Master license welcome). Minimum of 5 years' experience in commercial/industrial electrical work. Knowledge of NEC code and electrical safety best practices. Ability to read and interpret construction documents and electrical diagrams. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and related equipment. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Positive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to travel. Solar experience is preferred, but not required.
