Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various projects. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards and local codes, including the National Electrical Code (NEC). Duties Install, wire, test, and troubleshoot electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and renovation settings using schematics and blueprints. Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans to execute precise electrical installations. Utilize hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other testing equipment to diagnose issues and ensure system integrity. Work with low voltage systems such as security alarms, communication lines, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation projects. Follow all safety protocols related to high voltage and low voltage electrical work while maintaining a safe work environment on construction sites. Collaborate with other trades such as frame carpentry or general contractors during renovation or new construction projects. Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or failures before they occur. Maintain detailed records of work performed, including schematics updates and compliance documentation. Requirements Valid Wyoming Journeyman Electrician license or fourth year apprentice Solar experience preferred but not required Proven experience working as an electrician in residential and commercial projects. Strong knowledge of NEC standards, schematics reading, blueprint interpretation, and electrical code compliance. Proficiency with hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers; power tools including drills; and testing devices like ohmmeters. Ability to read technical drawings accurately and follow detailed instructions for complex installations. Experience working with construction teams in fast-paced environments while adhering to safety regulations. Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting electrical issues efficiently.
