- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical construction, with a focus on residential electrical. The successful applicant will be responsible for building and renovating electrical systems, ensuring they meet all necessary safety and industry standards.
Duties:
- Interpret and apply relevant building codes, such as the National Electric Code (NEC), to ensure compliance with local regulations.
- Conduct routine electrical inspections and maintenance tasks, utilizing hand tools and power tools as needed.
- Read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics to identify electrical systems and components.
- Utilize specialized equipment, including ohmmeters and voltmeters, to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues.
- Perform electrical repairs, renovations, and installations, including wiring and circuitry.
- Collaborate with other professionals to ensure a high level of quality and attention to detail in all electrical work.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of electrical principles, including electrical safety and best practices.
Experience:
- A minimum of 4 years of experience as a journeyman/journeywoman electrician, with a focus on residential or commercial electrical construction.
- Proven experience with building and renovating electrical systems, including power distribution and control systems.
- A strong background in electrical safety and best practices, with a focus on preventing electrical accidents and ensuring the safety of all personnel and equipment.
- A commitment to ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest developments in electrical construction and technology.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of electrical principles and building codes.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
- Experience with blueprint reading and electrical schematics.
- Experience leading projects.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical construction and maintenance.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$25.00- $40.
