Journeyman Electrician

Job Description

Primary Function:
The Journeyman/Journeywoman Electrician assists in the electrical construction of shop fabricated equipment as well as field installation of electrical systems. Works with and maintains 480VAC, 120VAC, and LVLE electrical systems. Plans layout, installs, and repairs wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment by performing the following duties:Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Plan and complete new installations or modify existing infrastructure - minimizing waste of materials, maintaining NEC code, customer requirements, and Premier Technology standards. + Read blueprints, prepare sketches, and maintain documentation of the work process and completed project. + Troubleshoot circuitry in new and existing electrical systems, repair or recommend corrective action. + Plan and install conduit run, pull, and terminate wiring. Wire motors, controls, lighting, switches, relays, panels, instrumentation, and other industrial complex needs. + A high degree of travel is a requirement of this job. Must have a STAR Card (Real ID) Driver's License or current Passport. Performs other routine duties. Safety is a deeply rooted cultural value and it must be promoted and enforced at all times.Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
Fifth year college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be a licensed electrician in the State of Idaho and capable of obtaining licenses in other states. Ability to teach and mentor apprentice electricians. It is estimated that this position requires an individual to travel 60% to 70% of the time. Additional skills:Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a very dynamic environment - must have flexibility with an ability to focus.
