Journeyman Electrician

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial, industrial, and construction sites. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards, electrical codes, including the National Electrical Code (NEC), and project specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from renovation and new construction to complex industrial installations, utilizing your broad electrical experience and technical skills to deliver high-quality results. Must have North Dakota Journeyman License or reciprocal state. Duties Install, test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems using hand tools, power tools, schematics, and blueprints. Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to accurately execute electrical installations. Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, and high voltage equipment to support industrial automation projects. Conduct inspections of electrical systems to ensure compliance with NEC standards and safety regulations. Use testing equipment such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues efficiently. Collaborate with construction teams on site setup, framing carpentry tasks, renovation projects, and general handyman responsibilities as needed. Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and safety inspections to ensure project accountability. Follow all safety protocols on construction sites and ensure proper handling of electrical components in accordance with industry standards. Qualifications Valid journeyman electrician license or equivalent certification demonstrating comprehensive electrical knowledge. Proven experience as an industrial electrician or commercial electrician working on construction sites or renovation projects. Strong understanding of NEC codes, schematics reading, blueprint interpretation, and electrical theory. Proficiency with hand tools such as wire strippers, pliers, screwdrivers; power tools including drills and saws; testing instruments like ohmmeters. Ability to work safely at heights and in confined spaces while adhering to OSHA standards. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues efficiently.

Pay:

$57.00 - $60.00 per hour
