Journeyman Refrigeration Technician

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Refrigeration Technician to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining refrigeration and HVAC systems across various residential, commercial and industrial settings. Responsibilities Install, service, and repair refrigeration systems, including all refrigeration units and HVAC/R equipment Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues Perform routine maintenance on air conditioning units, boilers, mechanical systems, and plumbing fixtures to ensure peak operation Utilize diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems Conduct field service visits to client sites for repair, equipment replacement, or system upgrades Maintain detailed records of service activities and repairs performed. Requirements Valid journeyman certification in refrigeration or HVAC/R with proven experience as a service technician Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in construction environments Proficiency in reading schematics and understanding HVAC design principles Experience working with refrigeration systems and understanding of OSHA safety standards for hazardous materials Familiarity with electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters and the ability to perform equipment repairs. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
