- Full-time Position Overview The Dean of Students & Community Liaison is responsible for supporting student behavior, attendance, and overall school climate at the Jr.
- Bachelor's degree required
- Valid Michigan teaching certificate or administrative certification preferred
- Experience in student discipline, attendance/truancy processes, or school leadership preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build relationships and effectively engage families and community partners
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple responsibilities and maintain confidentiality Key Responsibilities
- Promote a positive school climate through proactive behavior supports
- Support and manage student discipline in alignment with district policies and procedures
- Assist with student supervision during the school day (hallways, lunch, arrival/dismissal, etc.)
- Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and community to support student success
- Monitor and manage student attendance, including truancy tracking and reporting requirements
- Work directly with students and families to address attendance concerns and remove barriers to regular attendance
- Collaborate with administration, staff, and outside agencies to support at-risk students
- Participate in intervention and support processes (MTSS/behavior supports)
- Maintain accurate documentation related to student discipline, attendance, and interventions

Pay:
$50,000.00- $60,000.
