Full Job Description Description:
Serve as a Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) Exercise Communications Specialist and Planner at Fort Bragg, NC. Lead, coordinate and facilitate the wide variety and scope of communications support within the Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) for strategic and operational level exercises. Qualified candidates must possess advanced management and organizational skills and demonstrate an understanding of Joint SOF Operational and Strategic Operations communications requirements. Must have significant analytical, planning, coordination, negotiation and directing skills to ensure requirements are satisfied.
Strong Knowledge of networks:
Be able to set up and maintain Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN), in addition to setting up network security features like firewalls. Upgrading, installing, and configuring application software and computer hardware.
Help Desk :
Creating and managing system permissions and user accounts. PKI Enhanced Trusted Agent. Responding to queries on the phone, via email, and in person. Offering technical assistance on the delivery, configuration, set up, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computer systems, hardware, and software. Must have hands on familiarity with hardware: Work with physical devices—such as computers, servers and printers. Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory administration is desired.
Other requirements:
Must be familiar with Special Operations forces and their work environment. Must desire to work on a small team or often alone in garrison and TDY. Expect to travel 60+ days a year to support events. Often required to work shift hours (12 hrs) during events.

QUALIFICATIONS
CompTia Security + and CompTia Network + Certifications
EDUCATION
College degree not required if continued education in Computer Science certifications have ben completed.
TRAVEL:
Extensive
CONUS/OCONUS
travel to support Joint Event Life Cycle activities is required. Must have an active Top Secret clearance and current eligibility to gain access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). No relocation assistance is provided for this position.
