This role involves daily account maintenance, business development support, and clerical tasks within the investment department. The Junior Broker Trainee will adhere to financial policies and standards while promoting bank products and services to meet customer needs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Financial Advisors to monitor and manage client portfolios, ensuring optimal asset allocation and performance. Provide support in executing trades and transactions, maintaining accurate records of all activities. Assist in preparing detailed reports and presentations for client reviews and meetings. Conduct thorough financial assessments to understand clients' goals, risk tolerance, and investment preferences. With the support of a Financial Advisor, educate clients on the features, benefits, and risks associated with various financial products and services. Perform routine account checks to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards. Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to account management promptly. Support advisors in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities through market research and analysis. Help in organizing and attending networking events, seminars, and workshops to promote the bank's services. Contribute to the development of marketing materials and campaigns to attract potential clients. Schedule and participate in client meetings to discuss financial plans, investment options, and progress towards goals. Ensure all activities comply with the bank's financial policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards. Stay updated on changes in FINRA procedures and standards, incorporating them into daily practices. Participate in regular training sessions to maintain knowledge of compliance requirements. Facilitate the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately. Coordinate the transfer of assets between accounts, verifying details and resolving any issues. Maintain organized records of all account activities and transfers for audit purposes. Perform administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and scheduling appointments. Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and other materials for department meetings. Support the investment team with various projects and initiatives as needed. All other duties as assigned. Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field is preferred. Previous experience or internship in the financial field or high-level customer service. Ability to obtain Series 7 & 66 licenses Excellent Microsoft Word and Excel skills.Required Skills:
Strong analytical skills to analyze financial data and market trends to make informed recommendations and decisions. Excellent customer service skills to provide exceptional service to clients, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty. Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines.
